Senior Oregon Circuit Court Judge and Mediator
Senior Circuit Court Judge Tom Rastetter was on Oregon’s Circuit Court for nearly 20 years and has mediated hundreds of cases. He holds a Certificate in Civil Mediation from the National Judicial College, and is available to mediate cases throughout the State of Oregon. Prior to his tenure on the bench he was in general private practice for 19 years with an emphasis on civil litigation, real estate, business, personal injury, municipal and probate law, and earned a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating. He authored the “Arbitrating Real Estate Disputes” and “Municipal Water Rights” Continuing Legal Education chapters. His duties on the bench included serving as Chief Probate Judge. His services are limited only to litigants represented by attorneys.
Tom is the married father of two daughters and has twin grandsons. He enjoys fishing, rafting, woodworking and spending time with family. He was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil of American parents and spent his early childhood in Costa Rica. He is conversant in Spanish.
